The campsite is located by the lake and only a few minutes from the picturesque village of Moniga del Garda. There is a special atmosphere at Piantelle due to the dedication of our staff, who do their work with professional expertise, but also with heart and a smile. Perhaps that is why so many of our guests return year after year. Each season teaches us new things and we always try to improve.
Fabrizio Cavazza, the owner, created Piantelle as we know it today. Previously rented to a lovely family called the Conchieri, in 2000, after years of work in Brazil in the agricultural field, Fabrizio took the running of the Campsite in hand again. He started this adventure with his wife Pamela, who unfortunately passed away in 2005. The effort and passion invested have been great, but they have been repaid by your response. He passed away suddenly in 2025, but his passion and special spirit can be seen in so much of what Piantelle is today.
Giuliana Cavazza, Fabrizio’s daughter, joined the team in 2016, after 15 years of experience in the wine world, where she worked for some of Italy’s best wineries. Giuliana has the task of making the generational change by continuing the growth and unique philosophy of Piantelle.
At the reception, Annemarie, Marina, Nico, Alba and Adriana will welcome you with a smile. They speak Italian, English, German, Dutch, French, and Spanish. They know everything about Piantelle and a lot about the surroundings; they are here to help you.
Green maintenance and repairs are taken care of by a six-man team led by Stefano, you will get to know them, they are Luca, Daniel, Giovanni, Max and Massimo.
Bianca and Maty drive around in their golf car to supervise the cleaning teams. It is very rare to see them without a bright smile.
At the pool you will find two lifeguards to ensure your safety and peace of mind.
Our night watchman ensures that you are safe during the night.
Our restaurant La Cucina is open from morning to night. You will find the finest cappuccino and fresh croissant in the morning. Our Director Moreno and his team welcome you to try our local exquisite cusine on the evening, prepared in the kitchen by Head Chef Andrea Ceretti and his team. Pizza chef Salvatore Pisano is on hand for the evenings, and finally at the bar Paolo, our cocktail expert, will make you the delicious drinks. A lighter menu is also available at lunch for snacks.
The new improved market has everything you need, and at the pool bar, you will find two staff members to cater to your poolside needs.
Piantelle has been in the Cavazza family for three generations. It started out as a farm, mainly making olive oil, which we still make to this day. Piantelle became a campsite in 1964 and since then thousands of guests have returned year after year to enjoy happy holidays here. We still respect the land as much as we did in the past. We will continue to respect it for generations to come.
